OUR STORY SO FAR

The St Just and District Trust was formed in 1997 after it was felt by St Just Town Council that there were a number of projects in the area that they were unable to assist with.It was also felt that a Civic Trust may find funds for these projects easier to access. With this in mind, Bernard Rees along with a number of other Councillors formed the St Just and District Trust to work on these projects.

PROJECTS

The St Just and District Trust focuses on a number of community based projects to assist them in their development, examples include:-

The Miners Statue Appeal

The Plen Project

Restoration of Wells in the District – Money for this work comes from the St Just and District Trusts own funds as well as grants from the Town Council.

The Trust was also instrumental in the restoration of the footpath leading down to Portherras Cove in Pendeen.
